We did it! Spring is here, who else is over the mo We did it! Spring is here, who else is over the moon? It’s felt like a long wet winter but spring is finally here and I couldn’t be happier. The changing of the seasons bring with them fresh starts, new opportunities and a different energy. Lighter nights, warmer days, bird song, planting seeds, and the smell of freshly cut grass (minus the inevitable hay fever) are some of my favourite things, what are yours?
Rest can be found in so many ways. It’s national Rest can be found in so many ways. It’s national sleep week so I thought I’d share all the ways you can rest including sleep. Physical Sleep, laying down and gentle movement. Mental Hobbies, meditation and taking short breaks from work Creative Feeling your feelings, expressing yourself, finding support and setting boundaries. Emotional Quiet time, dimming lights and turning off devices. Sensory Finding ways to be inspired, creating and creative hobbies. Social Surrounding yourself with people who make you feel good. Spiritual Taking time to find the purpose and meaning in your life and connecting to something greater than you. Which ones do you want to do more of?
🍰🛁 Some days you don’t feel like working, 🍰🛁 Some days you don’t feel like working, would prefer to do other things or just want to eat cake in the bath, and why not. We run our own businesses for so many different reasons. Some of the biggest things I hear from clients are how freedom and flexibility are huge reasons for them running their own business. But a lot of us feel guilty for not working at a desk, taking the afternoon off or not starting work at certain times. Most of us have been socialised to be worker bees and whilst that’s not an issue overall, some of us can’t or don’t want to work like that. So eat the cake in the bath, work the hours that work for you and make up your own rules. It’s a huge perk of being self employed, take advantage of it!
International women’s day isn’t just for those International women’s day isn’t just for those who think about equality all the time. It’s for those who it never occurs to, to change attitudes. It’s for the women and girls who are facing discrimination, oppression, violence and war. It’s for those with no voice. It’s for raising awareness to change policies, agendas and society for the better. It’s for shinning a light on the achievements and brilliance of women. Sure there’s a lot of performative things that come with all international days but anything that raises awareness is still highlighting it and making people talk about it. It still means the news focuses on women’s stories and that new policies are announced. And in my mind any progress is progress!
I’m working on something new for 2024 the @gentl I’m working on something new for 2024 the @gentlerebelcollective A place for people who want to run their business however they want, who want to support and be supported by people doing the same thing whilst also growing their business. Where being a gentle rebel is celebrated and inspires others to do the same. Where you can feel it’s possible to do it your own way, because it is.

The podcast is back for the autumn with the lovely The podcast is back for the autumn with the lovely @solace_forest We chatted back in the summer and had the best time talking about anything and everything, we basically put the world to rights! I came off our recording and felt so inspired and completely energised. We talked about finances, self relationship, looking after yourself, talking up space and how we've maybe not come as far as we think we have. Solas talks about finances in such a refreshing way, none of the earn big, 10k month chat but more one of earning what you need to live comfortably and not looking at what others are doing.
